I simply had to try out this place once in my lifetime. Otherwise I feel its a shame to have lived in Dubai and not have the experience. We had lunch and it was wonderful. You cannot help being overawed by the place and the sheer extravagance of it all. Splendid.

The Burj ul Arab has retained its reputation for quality and excellence right through Dubai's recessionary period and I feel we ought to compliment this effort by visiting at least once in a while. It is our way of paying back for the gratefulness we feel now that the Gulf is in financial recovery.&nbsp; <br>

So here it is... I finally got to go to the best hotel in the world! The place is ostentatiously grand, definitely overdone, to the point of making me sick and uneasy. Still, it was good for a meal, but I definitely would not want to live here forever. Scary.<br>

Look, this is a seven star hotel and it also stands out as one of the tallest in the world. I saved up for 6 months just to have a meal there. Was it worth it? Yes and no. Yes because I am the envy of my friends and no because I still think it is over priced. <br>
