  1. Having had plenty of Mexican and Tex-Mex in Mexico, Texas, California... urgh. Dunno that one could expect more here than a vague approximation of "authentic," which is what this is. And as per Dubai, slow, indifferent service and plenty of flies around. Baja Fresh in Dubai Mall is better.

  2. I love this place.... cheap and close to my house. Atomsphere makes me feel like I stepped out of Dubai and into Mexico

  3. my birtish friend introduced me Maria Bonita. the food was so authentic for taste. I ordered seafood fajita which is soo spicy but I love it! they do guacamole right in front of you. so fresh and they serves unlimited tacos while waiting for your order for free. The place is cool, hip and inexpensive.

  4. The ambience of this place is very colorful and festive atmosphere that makes me want to sway with yukeleles and trumpets while dining on Chipotles & my Nachoa platters. The kitchen has a duo of professional Mexican chefs who specialize in Mexican cuisine with Spanish dishes and have decided to throw their flair onto the grill. The meal had seasoned in chili & pepper then you can even smell the aroma of meat and salsa by the fire.

  5. I used to eat here all the time when I lived close. It's a bit out of the way but whenever I'm around I stop in again. There's only one other "down home" mexican restaurant over in Satwa so this place has the market cornered. It's pretty good and for under 60 AED you can get filled up. Not bad for Dubai. They make their own tortillas in house with a big machine which always impressed me. Really just wish they had corona there. Would make it heaven. Also they give you lemons when you ask for limes sometimes....annoying.

  6. This is one of my favorite restaurant in Dubai. Food is nice, reasonable price and good service. I was not into Mexican food before but after I came here,I am so addicted to Mexican food so I come here at least once a month.

  7. I used to love coming to this place(best Mexican food, good service, not expensive!), however, I came last night to enjoy a meal with my wife, and the service was absolutely horrible!! We were sitting outside on the bar stool area and had to wait for a table to sit down. We waited for 15 minutes, somebody got up from their table, but some other people came in and the waiters let them sit down in our table we had been patiently waiting for! We tried to keep our cool, so we waited another 5 minutes till there was another table ready for us. We finally got to eat, but the rice was disgusting! Never before did I have this "leftover crap" style from this restaurant, but I assure you that I will never try their rice again! The shrimp burrito was okay, nothing fancy, but the combined service with the other poor sides of food was enough for me stop recommending this place to people as I have done so for the past 4 years! I hope somebody from Maria Bonita Taco Shop reads my post. I just have one thing to say to them: "Good food, good service + good price = GREAT Business!!" I hope you can fix your problem with your level of service and quality of food.

  8. I used to live in Mexico before Dubai and I lived with a Mexican family for about a year so I know traditional Mexican food and this is the closest in Dubai....it outrages me as a Mexican (at heart) the prices compared to in Mexico but hey, that's normal out here...a budweiser in my hometown in the states is 5aed lol. As far as quality it's pretty consistent and tasty. I always go for tacos asada (grilled steak)..... If they had a liquor license it'd be infinitely better but the food is much more authentic than other places. GO check it out....dont bother speaking spanish...no mexicans working there except the bossman who isn't there ever.

  9. Delicious mexican food - the best in dubai have to agree with the reviewer below. The guacamole that is made to order is divine. My favourite main course dish is the tri colour enchiladas which is served with the chocolate mole sauce. Must also try the rice based traditional mexican drink Horchata - so good! Shame they no longer serve the dessert. Cant remember the name of it but apparently the mexican chef left and she was the only one who could make it.

  10. This is the best Mexican in all of Dubai, bar none. A world away from the greasy fast food processed Mexican that you find in other restaurants here. Tortillas are made in-house, and each table gets free chips and salsa while you wait. Guacamole is made at the table and everything is super fresh. Portions are huge as well - the fajitas serve two easily. I've tried the chicken wings, salads, burritos, fish tacos, fajitas and never had a bad meal here. A hidden gem in Jumeirah 3.
