  2. If you haven't been here yet, I'm not sure where you go? This is the most popular bar in Dubai and now that they have opened for beach access on the weekends (free and they don't hassle you) they are consistently packed. I drive up here from Abu Dhabi and stay at a friends in the marina and spend literally my whole weekend at barasti...it's a one stop shop...there's a sick female deejay that plays at night on the beach they have chill tunes in the day..the food is pretty good and the people tend to be drunker and happier than most other places. I steer clear when any footie match is on because English men seem to want to fight everyone if their team looses...but besides that this is as clutch a place as any.

  3. Came here for the first time ever to sunbathe on the beach. Had never thought of doing this before until a friend invited me over the weekend and I was pleasantly surprised! We arrived about 1pm and spotted 2 people just leaving their loungers which was lucky. They dont do beach service so you will have to get up to go the bar to get your drinks and you cant bring shisha down onto the beach so if you want this you will have to go onto the decked area upstairs. They were playing old school rnb music which put us in awesome moods - best music ive ever heard at Barasti! Please note be careful if you are getting into the water. The jellyfish are back in our waters and scaring the hell out of everyone who gets close - lifeguard had to come and scoop him out.

  5. Two different bars in one place. If you're up for serious dancing check out the bar by the beach that plays House and RnB music. Be careful and try not to walk around the beach without shoes as you might step on some broken glass along the shoreline. People can get rowdy around past 2AM so try to be a little bit sober than drunk around that time to avoid conflicts and accidents.

  7. If you want to catch a disease or get into a fight, then this place is the way to go! There were some people from South Africa, who thought they owned the place, and started moving my wife's cahir so that they could get by to go to the bar. They didn't even ask her if she could move so that they could get by, just moved her chair with her in it!! Obviously, that caused a big problem with me and my 4 friends who watched this happen, and almost had to beat the crap out of this guy and his rude friends as well! Definitely not worth another visit!! I have been in Dubai for over 4 years, and every time I come to Barasti, it gets worse. It's a low level of people who don't understand what respect or common sense is!!

  9. Seems they've redone their menu in the last couple months, and it's changed for the better! However, the shisha at this place has gone way downhill. Used to be really good and only AED 27. Now it's really bad and AED 43. Go figure...

  10. What can I say about Barasti that hasn't already been said? Well, its popular that's for sure - on any given night it is packed. They have great DJs, a fun vibe and it's a fab location, with loungers and beds on the sand. Saying that, the drinks prices are high (40aed for a single eek!), the food prices even higher (on a par with fine dining restaurants) and the crowd can sometimes be a bit rough. However, you're almost always guaranteed a good night if you're after a big loud and lairy evening.
