Went there on Friday, we started of with small plates that included the Grilled Eel (the first time i'd tried it) tasted great, it tasted very similar to the miso style black cod you get in most japanese restaurants (including Nobu). The Rock Shrimp, Sea weed Salad, Chicken Skewers and Fried Calamari were also really good, putting a smile to my face at the end of the first round. This was a bit tainted with the the Beef Gyoza, I've had Pork and Chicken Gyozas in the past and seemed to like the texture of those meats rather than beef, and so i wasn't very pleased with it.
For the main course, we ordered the black cod, baked salmon sushi and wagyu beef steak. The cod was cooked perfectly and the flavour achieved during the cooking process was just perfect !! The Wagyu beef was thinly sliced and served with a range of green "toppings" , cooked to "medium" perfection. The lonesome baked salmon maki wasn't too bad either and was different as compared to your typical raw salmon sushis.
Finally, for dessert, we ordered a Mandarin Sorbet (an excellent pallet cleanser) and a portion of Chocolate Fondant with Vanilla Ice cream, which was again perfect, oozing warm chocolate once dug into.
Overall, it was a great meal, and think it would have been better if we hadn't ordered so many small plates, seeing as we were just 3. The place is expensive and so suggest going there during the first week of the month ;-)
