First off it smells of dog they have big dog cages on the floor where they hold all their pets, I can't work out and breath in in a place that smells like that! Pretty crude set up no false floor installed for weights to drop onto so you emerge with a headache after five minutes from the vibrations in there, shop keeper next door didn't seem to pleased with that either. There are definitely better places around with better staff.
Have you tried the Warehouse gym? They have Cross Fit too
i initially tried Crossfit because a few friends had started going. They seemed so enthusiastic & motivated, I was intrigued to find out what all the fuss was about. I was hooked after my first session - workouts are intense and vastly varied ensuring fast results which is what everyone wants for continuous motivation. Staff are really friendly and they encourage positive discipline while managing to maintain a relaxed community environment. Huge thumbs up from me.
I've been hearing lots about Crossfit and a few of my friends go to Lifespark so I went for my free trial class this morning at 7am. I didn't really know what to expect. The gym is not big but has lots of interesting training gear to play with. They have a 6am class for all the early birds which had 6 people in it and my class only had 5. I'm not sure if this is typical but I like the small class vibe. The trainer (Lee) welcomed me and told me to warm up by running laps outside or do some skipping on my own before the class starts. Lee is great at explaining all the moves and the theory behind Crossfit. The best way to describe it is like a mix between bootcamp and a personal trainer as you get individual attention. You time all of your activity and keep track of it so you can improve. The other people in my group were friendly and they encourage you which reminded me of the team feeling you get from bootcamp. I really enjoyed it but wished it was longer than 45 mins. Do we really burn enough calories in 45 mins? They have a bunch of packages like 2 classes per week you pay 600 a month = 75 per class.
Great workout and tough but you know youvwill get results. Nice staff and very helpful. If I lived in jlt I would work out here.
