Yo Sushi always gets a bit of a bashing from sushi affectionados which I think is a bit unfair as their fish and other ingredients are as fresh and of good quality as most other places in town. Anyway, when I found myself at their DIFC branch, it was not to order sushi, it was to MAKE sushi. Yes folks, I enrolled into their sushi school and am now a certified Sushi Master! For 150 Dhs, you get a 90 minute hands-on lesson on how to make a wide variety of makis, noris, nigiris and handrolls. You also get a Yo Sushi apron, instruction cards and a certificate to take home with you. What's more, you get to eat all the sushi you have made afterwards, and it's easily enough to feed 3-4 people. The sushi in the picture is what I took home after I already filled up on in the restaurant. Complimentary soft drinks and tea are also provided. If you enjoy sushi, I honestly can't think of a better way to spend 150 Dhs. Classes are limited to 4 people so there's plenty of one on one advice.

Please don't go here they don't even compare with Scoozi. If u want good sushi then u need to go to scoozi.
If you're looking for cheap sushi, this is the place.it's alright, but what is up with the flies?!!! The Dubai Mall branch is filled with them, made me walk out.
Do not like their sushi at all! The only safe thing to eat at Yo Sushi is their Edamame and have some water. They need some serious revamping on their menu.. and their chef to change. Additionally, their service is absolutely horrible! They were rude staff and did not know what their sushi is about.
Way so expensive for a sushi, food is just ok. Service was great & ambiance made it so expensive. Won't recommend to other cause of the price.
all i can say is. its just horrible. the quality of the food is really bad. to be honest i would never go there again. the food is turning in that sushi counter for hours and hours and its not fresh at all. some time i feel the fish is expired.
YO! this restaurant is very accommodating and very convenient as the food is on a belt so you can actually see the meal before you order it and eat. also there kitchen is in front of you so one can see all the dishes being prepared, this is also to show that they are very sanitary. there colour co-ordinated plates also make thing very simple and easy as each dish has a different price so if your on a budget you no what you can afford, and what they dont have on the belt they will prepare and have on your table in minutes.
Yo! Sushi is an excellent authentic Japanese dishes, great staff, not to mention their food is rotating in front of you. One of the best and unique Japanese restaurants I have been. Who wouldn’t enjoy just picking anything you want to eat at any time? Everything we picked tasted delicious even simple dishes like teriyaki and maki rolls. Yo! Sushi is for those who like “food on the go”. Go try it and you’ll be coming back for more though they serve it in a very small portion.
I went to 2 Yo Sushi's..one in Marina Mall, one in Dubai Mall. The service at Marina Mall was good, so I thought I'd try the one in Dubai Mall one day with my sis in law and her kid. We decided to not sit at the carousel area, as we had a baby stroller with us. We were ignored for 20 mins after arrival, no cutlery, no hello, no help with stroller. I called the manager, asked her politely if this was typical of Yo Sushi service for people with children... the manager apologized profusely, and we got 2 free meals out of it. The food was good, lots of choices, and I believe they genuinely messed up, but they made up for it with service afterwards. I dont understand how they could have completely overlooked us, it wasnt even busy. Their management was excellent, maybe their servers just need more training.
With my dietary limitations due to lactose and gluten intolerance, this is my default takeaway/ delivery! I also love to stop by there to eat at their counter since I can just grab a fresh plate off the conveyor belt or order from their staff. Entertainer coupons help afford this obsession and a top tip if you are throwing a cocktail party is to order a sushi platter or two to keep guests from drinking on an empty stomach!
Since you'll have a peek with the food, it'll be easier for you to choose unlike if you're just seeing them in the pictures. Staffs are helpful and attentive. Ambiance is great ~ relaxing. With their price per plate, you'll be able to try few varieties. I've only been to Burjuman branch and it's quite accessible for me, not so sure with the other branches.
I love the concept of this place - nearly all of the food served is on the conveyor belt ! This is a great place for snacks or to try out a bunch of different things- its best to go on a Sunday when they have a promotion where some dishes are cheaper. The food tastes really nice too, its not 'extraordinary' but its nice for the price.
This is not the best sushi in Dubai by any means, but it is probably the fastest, and cheapest around. The conveyor belt system means you're eating the minute after you sit down..which is a big plus for many busy people and the prices are very fair...compared to other sushi places....but that could be because the quality of the sushi ingredients is lower....The staff has always been pretty good...at all the locations.....I've just never been super stoked about the taste of their sushi.
totally agree, its like Starbucks..... Not the best coffee but they are on every corner so its just convenient.
Yo! Sushi in Burjuman Centre, Dubai. Delicious foods, in affordable prices. Customer service is excellent as well as ambiance.
its very good place where you enjoy the music and sushii! good people to serve you, and its cheap comparing other sushi restaurants
Not a huge fan of Yo Sushi because I feel a lot of it just sits on the conveyor belt going round and round for ages. The other thing is that you have to order several plates and then it all adds up to about 80 - 100AED per person to satisfy a normal appetite which isn't really justified. I would rather have a full size portion sushi platter. Hot meals are OK although the gyoza are not a patch on Wagamama's.
I was trying sushi for the first time in 2009 and was brought to Yo! Sushi at Dubai Festival City. I've frequented the branch since then. The staff is always super-helpful to help you decide your order and are always friendly and chirpy. I mostly go only for Miso Soup and it's always good. If you're trying sushi for the first time and want a casual, no-nonsense approach to the famous cuisine - Yo! Sushi it is.
Dubai mall has to be the worst branch, burjuman/mirdif and marina mall the best. I found a fly in the soy sauce in dubai mall and ill never go back there again! I find the ones i mentioned above better, because they are quieter. therefore cleaner and sushi is made fresh to order more often than not. I especially LOVE mirdif because they hold sushi school classes there, and that is where i got certified as a sushi chef so now can make my own :-) Good vegi selection too which is rare in dubaii
Wasn't happy the other night at the festival city branch. Not much choice and the people working there seemed not to care about anyone but themselves. Used to be a YO Sushi fan, but won't be going back there anytime soon.
