Terrible ownership. We called, after buying a deal, asking if we could use the voucher of 10 sessions over 2 people. The part owner/manager told us no it cannot be done, so we then asked if we could buy another set of the same and said plainly no without even considering anything. After a few more questions the "part owner" then simply decided to close the phone in my wife's face and not answer again. Very un professional snobs!!!

Actually i agree with the groovy girl, i admit that the place is nice but they are getting unprofessional, last Tuesday i went for the 9am class ,the instructor didn't show up, and there were no body to apologize ,she could at least write a note for us, the girls were so mad, of of them said that , this is happens so often, again i went today for the9am class and agin no body was there, not even a receptionist,my friend bought 2 vouchers as i told her it very good place but now one on them will going to waist , there is no time to redeem it, i think mona the owner should do something about this, now i promise my friend and i will never go back again.

LondongirlinDXB I was there on Friday and it was a full class. I have always found them to be friendly and approachable. Did you speak to the owner? I always go at weekends/evenings so don't know about morning problems. Perhaps an emergency...try to approach them. I do agree that it's not nice to come for a cancelled class.

I have to agree with groovy girl - the studio used to be awesome...lots of good trainers and a nice set up. Unfortunately the owner does not give a **** about what's happening anymore and her sister does not only teach without a license but also doesn't know anything about Bikram Yoga :( I used to go 5 times a week and had a 6 months membership...I'm not going anymore as the quality of the classes has really suffered, unfortunately...! I'm thinking to give it a try again every once in a while whenever my favorite teacher is training but my passion for the studio & classes has really vanished.

Having been to a few places in Dubai for Bikram Yoga, I have to say that, the Bikram Yoga Middle East comes on top of all. The staff is both very professional and extremely helpful. The studio is kept at the right temperature during the sessions. It is warm enough to benefit from Bikram Yoga, but not too hot, so that you are able to breath. Changing room is spacious and clean. I am glad to have found the right place for Bikram Yoga.

I have been practicing Bikram Yoga for the past 6 years in so many countries around the world, and honestly this is my favorite studio, i love this place its very clean and the staff are so friendly and the instructors are awesome and very professional. NOTE: To Groovygirl review. The essay which you have written doesn't reflect facts, and your comments sound very revengeful, i wonder why.. Also you have used some keywords that yoga instructors usually say, which scares me to actually read your review and find it helpful.. i think you need to practice more yoga to discover yourself within, don't hate, instead love yourself and spread the happiness.. life too short for competition.. peace, and stay groovy :)

groovygirl I'm not being competitive, nor revengful in my review. I'm stating the facts as I experienced them. This is for individual reviews based on experience and I'm merely stating mine here.

The good, the bad, and the ugly. I actually give it 2.5 stars, not 3 but the system won't let me so 1/2's. And this is being generous. Giving it the 1/2 because they do Cobone deals which are the right price. I've been going to Bikram Yoga ME for several months, and what started out as a fantastic studio has come spiraling down in the past few months. I went in with very little knowledge of the practice and have learned so much through different teachers that have passed through the studio - and there have been many. The good: The studio is appointed nicely and is clean, although I'm wondering if they still mop the floors after class as they used too. Each student always gets a locker and towel for free. First timers get a mat for free, after your first time you have to pay for mat rental. They do many Cobone deals. They now have a "spa", which seems like an odd thing to put here, but the massage is nice. Haven't had one of their facials, but there is no water in the room which makes me wonder how it's done properly and hygienically. The bad: Things change like the weather. From the teachers, to the room temperature, to the timings...there is NO consistency. The online schedule says one teacher but you show up only to find it's another. Studio is rarely at the proper temperature. The owner used to have such passion for the studio and her students but that has diminished tremendously. The ugly: I understand when a new business opens one has to figure out what works for clients, but come on! The hours have now been changed because of "high-value" clients? What's that about. You don't value all of your clients? The 4pm is now gone, if you miss a morning class you have to wait until 6pm for the next one. The most unfortunate part is that they now have an UNQUALIFIED "instructor" teaching at least 2 classes per day. From what I understand this person is the sister of the owner but that shouldn't give her a pass to teach, especially when she doesn't know how. I feel bad for the first-time students who take her class, don't know what they are doing, and are being taught incorrectly. Part of this practice is to let go and de-stress, but sadly I come out of her class more stressed and irritated than when I walked in. I'm no expert but I have come to learn when the dialogue and timings are right. She does neither. I don't try to take her classes but unfortunately as mentioned above, the teacher on the schedule is not always the one who shows up to teach the class. A few months ago I would have rated this studio 5 stars, but can't give it that kind of rating anymore.

Love the place and the instructors. Atmosphere is relaxed and friendly. Classes are very professional. Great that they started having apples now!!! Perhaps a juice bar would be good to have because people socialize a lot in the open spaces. Maybe another solution needs to be found for the restocking of the towels. Will get my 6 months UNLIMITED membership, which, by the way, can be suspended when you travel - I find that VERY generous! One more thought.... could there perhaps be a chance to give a reduced price to working people who have an income below a certain amount, i.e. AED 5000?

I finally got to give this studio a try. The building is easy to find & there is free parking outside. The reception area is really nice & you are greeted by a warm & professional receptionist. I forgot to bring my large water bottle & the studio only sells small water bottles, so I had to purchase a couple to get me through the class. The changing area is lovely & clean, the hot room is also great with lots of natural light. The room however did not get hot enough for me & the class was made up mostly of beginners. I have to admit I missed the buzz of the Marina studio at Club Stretch & being surrounded by all the hard core Bikram junkies. Bikram Yoga Middle East is in a good location & has a good following of people, but I will continue to be loyal to Club Stretch as I like their set up & also have my favourite instructors there.

I have heard a lot of good things about this Bikram studio & have been encouraged to check it out. I am a regular at Club Stretch, however, am open to mixing it up, so will be going to an afternoon class tomorrow.

Finally - options for Bikram on the south side of Dubai. This spot recently opened up in TECOM next to my office and I am ecstatic. I’ve been practicing Bikram for about four years at a few different studios and found this space to be one of my favorites so far. The rates are comparable to other spots in town - just a little cheaper at AED 60 for a single session. Mat rental (optional, could bring your own) is AED 5. Your practice towel is free, additional towels are AED 5. Water is also for sale. Multi-class packages start around AED 600 with special offers for new clients. The practice room is very spacious and gets a lot of light. The instructor was very enthusiastic, creating a welcoming atmosphere for all participants regardless of experience. Since it’s brand new, the number of classes on offer is currently a little limited, but I assume more may be added as the clientele is built up. Check it out.
