About this business

Located in the Grosvenor House Hotel, Buddha Bar, Dubai, offers a truly unique dining experience. As soon as you walk through its doors, you are transported into what feels like an alternate dimension, complete with luxurious carpets and shimmering chandeliers. The trademarks of this multi-level eatery are its impressive Buddha statue, which stands at four metres tall, and a 20-metre high wall of glass.

While relaxing to the chill-out music in this indulgent eatery, you can make the most of the fusion of cuisines on offer. Buddha Bar’s menu is inspired by the punchy flavours of Thailand, China and Japan, as well as by the array of fresh seasonal ingredients available in Arabia.

It’s well worth trying out the delicious green curry and other treats include beef and chicken satay, shrimp tempura, sushi and an Asian chicken salad. To wash down your meal, you can choose from a selection of cocktails.

As well as tasty food, enjoy great tunes in this sleek establishment. Every day – excluding Sunday and Monday – resident DJ Nicholas Sechaud entertains guests from 9:30pm. It’s no surprise then that Buddha Bar attracts some of Dubai’s most glamorous revellers.

Amazing restaurant with exquisite cuisine! Moreover, exotic ambiance and relaxing music, delicious cocktails all help to create amazing nights there. All Over the world, Buddha Bars make me happy and satisfied consistently. In Dubai, definitely try sushi, it's one of the best best places to try it in Dubai!

I always enjoy my evenings at Buddha, whether it's Dubai or Kiev, or Monaco. Unique style, most delightful lounge music, most refined guests and delicious cuisine with exotic touches. I think it's a perfect place for a first date, or anniversary or a double date. The atmosphere will relax you and you will have an amazing night. Definitely worth to try!

Ok, so now I have been to Buddha bar Paris, Buddha bar Monaco Buddha bar Dubai ...and to tell you the truth there is not much of difference. The menu remains the same. Smoked salmon culture stays true in Europe. In Dubai they are still starting to pick up that raw taste. Even me, ever since going to Europe, I started loving raw salmon.
But for the view, nothing can beat Monaco Buddha bar, she wins the challenge. I have yet to visit its other branches around the world to tell you which is the best.

Two things to love about this bar is the decor and the drinks! Best mocktails I've had so far! Some nights are couples/ladies only thou, my husband could not get in with his male friends....twice!! So yeah I guess it's better to check beforehand, or just take some ladies along ;)

Too dark in here ....! But romantic dark. I like it as a restaurant than a bar. The service is so good...they even brought me a blankly when I was feeling cold...how sweet is that.
I'm a brown girl and hot and looking not so old - got stopped at the entrance ...oh that was not good at all ;)
There are so many things I want to try on the menu...so will be returning again!

If I had to choose one last supper in Dubai, it would be at Buddha Bar. I have not once had a disappointing dish. It is $$$, but so worth it. If only they still had the duck rolls on their menu... :( I am not a huge fan of sticking around after for drinks - I don't so much like it as a bar. But as restaurant? To die for.

It's not my favorite venue, but it's definitely elegant. You can expect to have best food and drinks. I keep coming back for their sushi and green curry. Green Curry is around Aed 100. Sushi platter is Aed 200-300. Once we're done with dinner, we would go to the bar to watch the fire shows (doesn't happen anymore). However, we still do enjoy the perfect mixed drinks. Average drink price is 60 - 70 for most drinks, Long Island is around Aed 110.

I am a white, well dressed, well paid professional man in Dubai and this is the only place I consistently get stopped at the door...absolutely ridiculous for anyone of any color or status considering the only thing that should matter is a dress code (which I uphold by nature). I purposely avoid the place and go right next door to Siddhartha which is basically the exact same thing...probably the same owner and sponsor so a lot of good my "boycott" does lol. Anyways met up with some friends last night here...was very empty so we got a nice table in a private room and had a few rounds of decently strong drinks. Service is damn good here. Recommend it anytime you have a visitor you want to impress or if you live nearby and are bored and wanna people watch... Siddartha is better though fo sho!

Aside from the obvious fact that this place sometimes has working girls walking around. I like the sleek sexy ambiance of this place. Have had dinner a few times, but coming here for some drinks with some friends is not a bad idea to have a fancy chic feel to the night

Good if you want to mingle at night, grab drinks, have a fun dinner with friends. Not a quiet lounge or dinner but great spot with good energy. But busy so patience on service/ ordering drinks needed. Fun once in a while :)

Good place to go there to pre-drink, unfortunately the DJ only starts at 11pm and by 12pm the place is packed with an older crowd. Drinks are good and reasonably priced. In general its not a bad place to just hang out for an hour and enjoy a relaxed drink.

We live within walking distance of Buddha Bar and haven't been in ages. Actually, I don't think I'd ever had dinner there before. So when we were invited by some friends, we jumped at the chance to give it a try. Ambiance is great during Ramadan, as it's a little more subdued than normal. Music wasn't so loud that you couldn't hear each other, which is nice. Food was excellent. They brought out a sampling of appetizers, including some tuna sashimi, a couple of maki rolls (the salmon was fantastic!), beef/chicken satay (just ok), shrimp tempura, and this amazing Asian chicken salad. For the main, I went with the green chicken curry w/ steamed rice, and it was also fantastic. A very nice Chianti Classico and couple glasses of Remy Martin XO to finish it off. Fantastic experience all around...

Had a lovely date here once. The food is very good, although on the expensive side. The ambiance is impressive and helped by the beautiful lighting.

The music and food make this a perennial favorite but the layers of unavoidable smoke from all the chain-smokers keep me away or at least make me leave early- blech! It used to be over-run with hookers and the men looking for them, but stricter doormen have made this phenomena less obvious. Beware that ordering an appetizer costs as much as a normal main course and the hospitality charges/ taxes on top can get pretty costly!

The place is very impressive .Nice décor and great ambiance. The huge Buddha statue attracted me a lot. The waiters were very polite and know there job very well. The food is good but slightly overpriced. The menu is extensive with scrumptious asian cuisines Nice music makes it a very good experience. You can go to the bar for some cocktails which are extremely good. Overall a pleasant experience, I would definitely return back specially for nice cocktails.

Reading a review on Thai food by reviewer Saifo, I remembered that in my experience with Thai food, the best red curry I have had so far in Dubai was at Buddha bar. Went there with my husband for a romantic time out, found a very good table upstairs overlooking the floor and thoroughly enjoyed the red curry in soft candlelight. I just love Buddha Bar for its ambience. Another time my husband took me with his friends to the bar area which I found a bit overcrowded. When we had a late night sitting with friends there once and tried their menu on the the main floor(fried prawns are good), the table was good and the service very efficient. But in all these three different options there, my favourite one remains the quiet table on the top floor where I got to spend some quiet us time with my Mister. :) Also, dont expect it to be cheap. Its a high end classy place, so that means you go prepared, wallet-wise, to have a classy evening out, without dwelling on the prices.

The moment you walk in Buddha bar you immediately feel that the place is something special. It exudes glamour and laid back sophistication. The restaurant is huge, spread across two floors. there are numerous smaller lounges and private dining areas including upstairs lounge area, as well as a sushi bar. The main dining area is adorned by a huge Buddha statue, adds mysticism to the atmosphere. The decor is impressive and the atmosphere is amazing. The menu is extensive with various mouth watering Asian cuisines - the sushi, the black cod and the Thai Green Curry are superb. There is also an extensive wine list and the bar serves incredible cocktails. The food is excellent and service is impeccable, with attention to detail that is unrivaled. This is a must in Dubai for a perfect evening, although slightly expensive it is well worth the money.

For the first time in 4 years of living in Dubai I was turned away from a club for no reason. Absolutely ridiculous, the bouncer said there's a shirt collar policy, to which I scoffed as I noticed that there was a customer leaving with no collar....the bouncer said he ate dinner....How did he know I wasn't going to eat (I was).....I asked the customer if he ate dinner...he did not!!! The manager Tony was there too and he was rude and acted like my friend (another dude) and I were below their venue...totally crazy since I've been there before and had visited 3 other bars that night with no issue. I'll never go back....Really messed up.
