About this business

Most exercise programs focus on the external, superficial aspects of our bodies, promising to help us change the parts we don’t like when we look in the mirror. This approach only reinforces a negative body image and offers results that are usually short lived.

Usually I attend bikram yoga at Club Stretch in the Marina, but on Sunday I wandered over to the Al Mina branch for an afternoon class. While the studio is not as large or new as the Marina branch, the facilities are very nice and offer a more intimate setting for yoga, particularly during the day when there are not as many attendees. Suzanne instructed and she may be my favorite since she is always helpful in her coaching, never condescends, and catches on quickly if you are struggling to achieve a pose. I recommend that everyone should try bikram. It's far more challenging than you imagine, strikes a balance between the mind and body, and is extremely rewarding.

I have been a fan of Club Stretch for many years, Bikram is amazing, you sweat in these classes unlike no other. There is a teacher in particular, Tasha, who teaches her classes with such positive energy, you can really tell how much she loves her sport. The only negative about the studio in general, is the wait after the class to use the shower facilities at the Satwa studio, after sweating so much all you want to do is jump in the shower straight away, so there is a little wait, but thats the only fault I have experienced. I can't wait to give the new studio a go in the Marina, am really looking forward to it.

Club Stretch - Marina.; Simply Bikram Yoga makes you feel Good. Bikram yoga is yoga done in a room heated to 42 dregree's w 24 asana's ( postures) and 2 breathing exercises done in 90 minutes I definitely recommend that you come to the newer Club Stretch location in the Marina. Why? Its' larger than the Al Mina studio with a capacity for 60 ppl. The evening classes are quite full so you really get a sense of excitement prior to class and being smashed (delectably )in class with the heat and the discipline. I must admit now that I am biased as I am a Bikram teacher- but as thats out in the open I shall continue. The heating is excellent so it can get very hot ( good) the facilities for showering are great/simple and enough so no/or minimal wait for washing after classs. There is a nice mix of longer time students who are more advanced and new beginners and first timers. This makes the class more enjoyable as it creates a different type of communal energy where you simply push yourself at whatever stage your at. If your a beginner you simply watch the ppl who have been coming a while and copy them, as I did many years ago when I was new myself. The teachers vary and rotate so there is sure to be a teaching style/teacher which suits you. After class, which is always challenging, no matter what level one is at, a feeling of satisfaction floods ones system and it is a perfectly encapsulated total body workout. Great class, great location. Definitely worth a look at~

Did Brian's class tonight & I agree with Anya, you have got to try his 90 minute session if you really want to be pushed. He is tough, gets you out of your comfort zone & you also learn a lot too.

Got up early today & did the morning Bikram sesion on a Friday. Class was awesome! There was only one beginner in the class, the rest was made up of regulars. So there was a whole heap of focus in the room & people were sweating their hearts out! A great start to the day, I highly recommend.

The Club offers proper facilities for both pilates and bikram yoga, web site is there and full of useful information, online booking, fantastic starter package of unlimited yoga for 10 days at 120aed. Parking outside is A Paid parking. I got a ticket first time i went so didn't really save on anything, but you can. All instructors are pros, for the experience thought you should definitely try a class with Brian at least once as he is the founder. He is also the toughest of them all-this guy will take your water bottle away if he thinks it's distracting you from following the postures. Bikram is not for everyone. It really is in the same category as playing golf at noon in the middle of july. It's hot, its sweaty, its exhausting, as nicely remarked by Saif "it will put a hurt on you". On the bright side you will get a pretty powerful workout and a thorough cleanse for your systems, your skin will glow.

so i think i am a big tough guy, basically i am 92kg of ripped bad a$%:) but this place put a hurt on me last night. i went for a bikram yoga class last for and hour and a half (lasted hour and forty min) and it was tough. this place has a great facility with great teachers. i was in the beginner class where the position are suppose to be not as difficult and it was still a ball breaker. the yoga instructor was great, she really helped out all the beginners in the class (there was 3 of us) and made you feel really welcome yet she pushed you hard. probably lost about 3kg of water in that place, its hot! definitely will be coming back.

I have only ever done Bikram yoga here, never tried the pilates but the Bikram is AMAZING. 90 mins of yoga in what feels like a sauna is a delight for the body. But not for the faint hearted! The classes are open for all levels although if you have never exercised before i would not advise this for you. The teacher does not perform the moves, but the more experienced yogis are at the front and you are expected to watch and follow them if new. Fantastic for the mind and body! be prepared to sweat
