My favorite restaurant in dubai. The best food but expensive, every penny is worth spending though. I luv the Samsa & freshly made soups. Ohh the hot Bread is a must try and you'll go back for it. I wish all the other restaurants was like Gulnaz ( Uzbek, Russian etc)
I highly recommend it.

The food is always very fresh there and with the flair of "home" I only wish they would always have very specific traditional dishes, for which they should import some of the products (like horse meat for example).

I always like going to Gulnaz. I tend to order the Uzbek dishes over the Russian ones. The plov is delicious. Get a little tent table with cushions for seats - great with a group of friends.

This was my first experience of a Russian restaurant, we stopped here on the way back from dinner at JBR. We sat outside on the lovely terrace and had a tasty lemon honey type tea and desserts. I had the chocolate lava cake and my friend had the honey cake, both were delicious and were big portions. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable, the restaurant starting getting quite busy after 10pm. The menu looked interesting and quite a lot of choices. Will definitely go back and next time will try more of the menu and not just the sweets!

Gulnaz have combined Russian, Uzbek & Kazakh cuisines, very extensive choice. If ur familiar with them - good for u, more chance not to over order, the dishes r quite heavy. I had a nostalgia for dressed herring, Russian salad, that i never had passion for while living in Russia, was yum. I wanted to order famous Uzbek plov (rice with lamb or beef & national spices) but the portion is too big & i decided to postpone plov until my next nostalgia. Instead i had lagman, a soup-main course, made on a vey reach broth with meat, home-made noodles & veggies, very tasty. If i could, i`d have ordered cheese pancakes, it`s actually made of curd, very yummy thing, but i prefer them for breakfast...If you overate & feel heavy, polish it by uzbek tea, served in a traditional service.

It was fairly empty when we tried it but the waiters warmly greeted us as we came in.The Tandir Samsa for 20 AED freshly baked from their oven firewood. I also had the Blinchick (something) like russian pancakes with beef & mushrooms. But I was suprised that they served this chinese pan fried dish dumplings. But a bigger kind and boy they were tasty!Great to end the dinner is to have the Uzbek Green Tea with their cute stylish teacups. I would still go back to try the un-tried things on the menu.

I am always intrigued by the fine items on the menu here at Gulnaz's  This is something everybody should experience. The menu items here hav a rather wide range so you can try something new every time. It reminds me of mom's home cooked food sometimes.
