About this business

From the entrance everyone will be smiling and courteous once you step inside. Mood and friendly staff takes great 'pleasure to serve' you. They're dancing too. Max's, as we all know, serves one of the best, if not the best tasting fried chicken (since 1945). Its popular classic crisp and texture makes it all unique from other fried chicken out there. They also serve famous Filipino cuisine like Kare-kare, Bulalo, Chopsuey, Sinigang, Fresh Lumpia and their famous desserts Leche Flan,Buco Pandan

Authentic Filipino restaurant and I love Max's ever since...Chicken is soooo yummy! Sarap to the bones!
I love the Kare-kare & Sinigang. The restaurant itself will give you the feeling that you are not away from home (Philippines).

Great oriental and Filipino food. The food is always fresh and the staff have a great customer service. Although the place is always busy, the ambiance of the restaurant is inviting. There should be one restaurant in the Mall area within Dubai, same in Sharjah City Centre.

We went to Max's because it was the only restaurant (apart from McD) next to spinneys where we had completed our shopping. I saw Max's and frankly I had never tried any filipino restaurant so we sat outdoors to try it out.

Between the two of us we ordered Cream of Mushroom Soup and french fries for my friend who happens to be a vegetarian. Looking at the menu I thought it was a very wrong choice of restaurant because there are very few vegetarian option and secondly I lost trust whether the dish they have mentioned marked as (V) will actually be vegetarian because they have a dish called vegetarian omelet which has egg and beef!! I pointed the error in menu to the server and he just smiled without saying anything.

We went ahead with order, the server was changed now..not sure if the first server was scared of the question or didn't wish to serve our order. Anyways we ordered corn shake ..yea you read it right it is a milkshake , pineapple juice and Max's fried chicken which is suppose to be their house specialty.

I felt bad for my friend who was so disappointed to see the menu and even in 'vegetable' section there were mentions of chicken and shrimp in the dishes. The mushroom soup was straight out of ready made packets, the Corn shake arrived and It was terrible choice, one sip of that carb loaded milkshake and I realized that why no one around had ordered it. The chicken was good not finger licking good but just good enough. It wasn't oily but the accompanied fries were compensating for chicken by being super greasy, oily and everything else.

I asked the server whats the filipino specialty in desserts and was told that its Halo Halo and that's a must try.So Halo Halo it was.. it arrived, its colorful with a purple ice cream on top and I asked the server two simple things, one if the Halo Halo contained any egg or gelatin and two whether this purple color of ice cream was nature or food colorings. I completed my dessert it was alright because the ice cream had a bit of starchy taste to it and some candied preserves were really sweet but it was a good way to wash down the grease from fries.

I didn't get the answer for my question but there was a another lady who I signaled for the check and it arrived with a new server. I don't know if its their policy to change servers after every course or what. They all were sweet and helpful when asked basic things but I wish they had knowledge about the contents of dish. The restaurant filled with filipino crowd and all the tables were occupied so I guess people do like to have it there but it didn't convince me to come back and try.

I asked my filipino colleagues about their cuisine and whether they have tried Max's, I was been told that for them it is just a fast food restaurant which isn't that great and they have better ones that were suggested to me. So I have been invited elsewhere to try out authentic filipino cuisine which I will review shortly after..Till then keep following :)

After years of eating KFC, finally they opened their branch here in Dubai. It's the Philippines' pride, Max's Restaurant. I was very delightful on my first day were I ordered their famous Filipino style fried chicken. It cost about AED 40 for the whole chicken. It's pricier compared to local chickens here but who cares about the price especially if a person has been longing for it for years! It's the original taste is what it's all about. Too bad, they can't bring the ever crunchy, Crispy Pata. I'm also impressed at how fast they serve the food. I've been here several times and it doesn't change. Feel free to use their internet access and in about 10-15 minutes, it's ready! From the restaurant down to the staff it feels like you're at home. They kept most of the original theme of the restaurant. So, it's indeed a really true franchise. Chicken lovers, come on down! Recommended!

My favourite place to go for fried chicken in Dubai. Especially when I can finish it off with leche flan! Just a pity they don't have a branch in the Marina end of town! I just can't get enough banana ketchup!

I am a regular customer of Max Restaurant. They are located along the road of Karama, Dubai. Restaurant that caters Filipino authentic cuisines, they have a lot of dishes to choose from. One of their best dishes is their FRIED CHICKEN (crispy and tasty), PANCIT CANTON (noodles with lots of vegetable toppings) AND BULALO (beef & soup with corn). Once you have tasted it, you will never forget them and you will keep coming back. They have a very affordable price and good services. Their staffs are so helpful. The only factor I don’t like here is that their place is always full of people. When you are walk-in guests, you have a great possibility to wait for such a long time especially during night of week ends like Thursday, Friday and Saturday; the place is very crowded. They also have a free parking for their customers who have cars.

If you wish to eat a Filipino authentic cuisine, I recommend Max Restaurant. In the Philippines, Max is one of the most prestige restaurants. They are known for the quality of their food and services, their trademark is their Chicken, it is very good, and it is actually why people keep on coming because it is mouthwatering and juicy. I also suggest trying their “Bulalo, Lumpia and Pancit Canton” for it has an outstanding savor. And the others are just average in taste. I went in their branch in Karama, the place is good and convenient because it is just along the road, and the only thing is that during evening time the place is always full so you have to wait for a length of time. So, I think avoid visiting there during night time especially weekends.

Max's Restaurant is located along Spinney's Building, Trade Center Road, Karama Dubai. This restaurant is very popular in the Philippines for its delicious CHICKEN - tender, juicy and crispy!!!! But as the restaurant grows, they also cater more variety of foods that suits for international tastes. Readers must try their famous Kare-Kare. It's a beef stew with vegetables, peanut butter and a little of shrimp paste. Hmmmm..so mouth-watering. Aside from the good food, they also give good service

We tried this restaurant last night and when we arrived it was crazier than an Oprah Night giveaway! There was a huge queue of waiting people that wants to dine in. So we decided to just order for takeaway. Max Fried Chicken is known in the Philippines to be the juiciest and straight to the bones tender chicken, but what I had has bland not even as good as Nandos. so disapponting. maybe it's just because it's newly opened.
