I went to the salon to use a groupon voucher for a gelish mani pedi, paraffin treatment, and 30 minute foot massage.I was the only client in the salon, despite the staff of around 6. My printer isnt working, so mentioned this on the phone and asked could I email on my voucher, as I have done with numerous other establishments without issue. I was shocked to be told that the have a policy of charging dhs to print a voucher. That seems a pretty steep price to pay to print one page.I was offered no refreshment, nor was the television turned on for me (when another client walked in an hour later, the tv show friends was switched on immediately)As I was choosing my colour the technician picked up a Koko colour and quite pushily suggested I opt for it. I did end up choosing the colour for my hands, purely because of the colour, not her insistance. There was quite a small choice of colours, and I didnt notice and OPI colours, which were advertised as being available on the groupon. As I was being treated, I noticed a whole lot of OPI gelish colours and asked my technician about them. She told me they were acrylic, but I having had them used on me before, I knew they were for gelish. I asked again and she insisted that the colour I had was nice. As she was applying it, I asked was there no base coat and she replied that with the KOKO brand there is no base or top coat. I asked again about OPI, as its a brand I know and trust and again she said no they were old, not nice etc. A lady who appeared to be a manager/head technician noticed and came over, and confirmed that they were in fact OPI gelish. From the moody and strange attitude of my technician, it became clear that she just wanted me to choose the KOKO colour as without base or top coat, there would be less work for her.The manicure was not very good. She hurt under my fingers a number of times, and even though I pointed out some paint on my finger, she did not clean it off. As I was getting a foot massage, the lady stopped after 10 mins and walked away. I called her back and said it was meant to be 30 mins. She laughed derisively and said it was only 15. I showed her the voucher on my phone and she laughed again, insisting it was 15. She eventually went and asked the receptionist, and came back to continue the massage. She continued for max 10 mins, and did so halfheartedly and without really trying. The massage was not enjoyable at all.Considering I got all of this for 99dhs, due to the voucher, I wasn't too dissatisfied, but would absolutely not return to pay full price. With a little more organisation, and customer service, could be a lovely salon. Shame my experience was ruined by the attitudes of two technicians.
