Pai Thai is expensive. Let's get that out of the way first of all. Led to a beautiful table by a suitable Thai dressed waitress, set over the water immediately gets you in the mood for a lovely dining experience. Upmarket Thai this really is and the quality of food, drinks available and service makes this my favourite Thai restaurant in Dubai. Try it and you'll understand why....I've been twice and both times were great....

This is one of my absolute favorite restaurants in Dubai, and I most recently came here for my birthday earlier in the month. I always recommend this place for people who have out of town guests and want to take them somewhere nice for dinner. The abra ride is a nice little Dubai touch, and a serene trip through the hotel's manmade creek is a plus.

The service is always top-notch, and the occasional entertainment (a Thai dancer, or live instrument) while you dine by the water makes for a really cozy and romantic evening. The first time I came here was in October but the weather was still hot, so you might be sweating into your dinner if you're sat outside!

The food - simply amazing. Thailand is one of my favorite places, and the food holds a special place in my heart as well. The quality of the food at Pai Thai tastes authentic but gourmet. Their curry is perfect, but do remember that they make spicy the Thai way - so choose your spice level carefully.

Remember Pai Thai the next time you have friends in town or have a first date - it will truly be memorable.

we went there yesterday with my husband and friend couple, siting outside with this weather is really a pleasure, the food was good but we wasnt impress to be honest, after reading review i expect more, there is nothing wrong with their dishes, we all took something different and tried from all and it was almost always the same taste.. some sweet taste with almond or peanuts ... it was good but nothing much to talk about that i particulary like and will recommend to try there.. other than the creme brulee for dessert that was good but not really thai :))

I completely agree with DreWerD7. The ambience at Pai Thai is something special. If you look at the photo attached to this review, you can see the terrace dining area next to the water. I recommend booking a table outside before it gets too hot. As for the food, the Green Curry is fantastic. We also had the Pad Thai, Papaya salad and Tom Yum soup which were all great. We're lucky to have several great Thai restaurants in Dubai, however this restaurant is definitely the best for Thai fine dining. Cost: Dinner for 2 with a bottle of wine AED 600. Note: they're listed in the Entertainer book.

What an ambiance. I think this may be the most romantic setting you can have in Dubai. Take a nice quiet private abra ride with your date..all dark and candle lit as you peer into people's hotels rooms and look up at the stars. Then you sit in or outside surrounded my teak wood accents and and overall dim and intimate setting. The food is all very fresh and no complaints there...as long as Thai food is your thing. I hate peanuts in my food and I'm a firm believe that coconut should not go anywhere near meat....but that's just me and they still have plenty of options that impressed me. I've always eaten seafood here. Really amazing service, very kind, apologetic and attentive...never made a single mistake for our large group which is very impressive. Highly recommended.

Mehreen Well honestly I don't remember the exact names of the dishes but we took the help of the waiter there. We told him our preferences and he guided us through some great dishes. We ordered two salads, one spicy with beef and the other was papaya salad which is not to be missed. We ordered two separate salads cos we are salad lovers but one portion is good for two. In mains, we had a red curry with shrimps (I don't like green curry) and another stir fry vegetables. Served with jasmine rice. If you like it spicy then you can let them know, they recommend and make accordingly.

I just had a delicious meal at Pai Thai. I haven’t been in a while and I have to say that I remember really enjoying the food the last time but I guess I had forgotten what a cute place it is otherwise. You can take a buggy from the hotel or pretend to be a tourist and take an abra from the Madinat. I recommend sitting outside if the weather’s nice to take full advantage of the view. The service was helpful and the staff seemed ready to please but they are actually kind of slow, especially on the beverages. We shared appetizers and mains and all were tasty but the green curry was especially fantastic. A must-order in my opinion. They also had some “Thai dancers” to entertain diners – a little cheesy but I guess that’s OK.

Came here with a few people, and thougt the food was excellent. The service was attentive. They could've had my drinks out a bit quicker, but that's only because on certain nights I have alchy tendencies. The restaurant is situated on the Al Qasr hotel grounds and is a beautiful place to go for dinner. The price will leave a dent in your wallet, but the food was fantastic.

Guys, if you're dating a girl new to Dubai and want to impress, this is the place to go. When you take your date on the boat ride from the Madinat and pull up at the gorgeous terrace and have her serenaded by the Thai singers, you'll look like James Bond. The food is excellent too, of course, but a bit pricey for Thai food. If you're dating a girl who's been in Dubai a while, best try somewhere else, as chances are, she's already been wined and dined here at some point!

In a nutshell, pretty solid Thai food, great ambiance, above-par service... Tried several different appetizers including some spring rolls, Thai beef, and duck salad. For the main, I went with sweet and sour prawns which were excellent. Also had the fried rice (pictured) and it was real tasty. Glad I didn't order anything spicy, though. Based on some other reactions, a couple of the dishes were nuclear hot. A little on the expensive side, so may not be hurrying back, but I'll give it another go when the weather's good to take advantage of the outside seating.

Came here last night with a group of friends and this place is excellent. It probably has one of the best ambiance for any restaurant in Dubai. It is located in the Al Qasr Hotel and when you get there you have to take a short buggy ride to get to it. It is located on the water so you get a great view of the Al Qasr resort and all of the surroundings. The service was amazing and the food was good. I had the green curry and the duck salad. Make sure you ask for medium spice because even the medium spice was spicy. Definitely a high end thai place that you would want to come to for a special night or bring someone here from out of town to empress them. With drink and everything you are looking at about 330AED a person

Have heard rave reviews about this place for a couple of years and decided to have a date night there with my husband finally. Despite the heat of the summer, we were not disappointed! Food and service were impeccable and the traditional Thai dancers were a nice touch but not overdone (thank goodness). The decor was traditional Thai colonial complete with rattan ceiling fans circling above and the location on the canal in the Madinat lent to the feeling that we were someplace exotic but not in Dubai! It helped to use our 2 for 1 voucher from the Entertainer too :)

Was here on thursday and was good. We sat inside due to the weather but i prefer sitting outside as the scenery is really pretty. The Thai green curry was amazing and they have a decent wine list. They had Thai dancers which was cool and to get to the restaurant you can either take a golf cart or a boat which is cool. They're listed in the Entertainer and we used the 2 for 1 on entrees.

Went here a few weeks back for my birthday and as part of Jumeirah Restaurants Week. The ride on the abra to the restaurant was beautiful. Food was excellent and curry's were huge! Great service and knowledge of the menu with fab flavours. We sampled a few different cocktails that were amazing but a little over priced. There were some Thai dancers that went around the tables and a live musician to add to the ambiance. Would definitely go back and a great place to take visitors.

I would always love Pai Thai not because of the food but because of the view, very romantic to be taken by an abra with the picturesque surroundings around madinat. Still by far, one of the best al fresco dining locations in Dubai. The food is not really authentic thai and better stick with wine or water if you are not ready with the spicy foods that they offer.Service can be a little bit faster thou.
