I went to their branch in Emirates Hills - at the British school.
They're currently running a promo until Sat - all classes free (the MD of the company posted a video on you tube that was not PC and this was his way of apologizing :-)

Basic circuit training concept. I was curious to try and I'm glad I did cuz I wouldn't really pay for this or go again. For the price you pay, much prefer other clubs/gyms with nicer facilities and teaching the same concept but in smaller groups slightly. This was in a school basketball court. The instructors were friendly and enthusiastic. My only complaint would be that they didn't give alternatives for the exercises - assuming that everyone is going to be able to do all the exercises the way they demonstrated them is a bit unrealistic. Plus in circuits it's better you keep going on an easier exercise then struggle with a tough one and keep stopping - heart rate slows too much.

The nicest part for me was the run outside around the lake in Meadows although it was a bit dark, it was very pleasant.

The parking outside was a bit of a nightmare and I was lucky to secure the last spot literally by the school gate. I counted we were almost 100 people and unfortunately the a/c wasn't working well.

I know the place works and the results are amazing so it's a matter of horses for courses!

PS They do offer a free 1st class for everyone anyway but this is currently a free week!

Been here a few times after trying most of the fitness clubs in Dubai.. Pretty tough place but no more than any other bootcamp. Quite expensive as you have to pay extra fees for entry also. Dont really like the style of the teachers in there! Lots of swearing and bad language on theres sites, FB, youtube and also in the classes. Also had a chat with the manager phil a few times and i must say he looks in good shape but doesnt seem to have any qualification in training, fitness of nutrition.. Possibly a 2 day course somewhere.. Or even lots of googling..Which makes me nervous espes as they preach so much and try to educate there clients (Without a proper educate in this field himself) Feels very much like a cult.. FIt in or leave.

Sylv I’m quite surprised by your comment. I go to the Circuit Factory regularly and it has no resemblance to a bootcamp. In fact the trainers there are quite supportive as opposed to someone yelling at you bootcamp style. Not only do they offer training but they also monitor your diet which as far as I know, no other fitness place in Dubai offers. They have a genuine desire to help the people of Dubai to get healthy especially those who are obese and as a result have produced countless of success stories. I find it quite funny that you’ve come to your own conclusion that Phil is not qualified. When in fact he is. Did you even bother to ask him if he was rather than strangely coming up with your own assessment that he’s been to a ‘2 day course’? You don’t get that much success if you don’t know what you are doing. The results speak for themselves. Its ok if you don’t like the Circuit Factory but saying something that’s not true is another thing altogether.

Just got done with my first Circuit Factory workout and it was really tough, really tough. I heard from a friend it was tough... basically all cardio back to back and of course circuit training, and it was. They really focus on core, legs, and of course cardio. The instructors really push you to give 100% and are not afraid to tell you when you are slacking off. It is located in al Quoze which it is not hard to find, just look at the map. The first class is free but you have to pay 40AED because they host their class in 24hr Fitness so you gotta pay those guys to get in. Then it is 60AED a class; so basically you pay a 100AED a class after your first class which I think is kind of expensive but I'm pretty sure they have package discount. Overall a great class and the hardest one I have done in Dubai so far.

I'm very new to Circuit Factory - I've only been four times but you can see why the movement is generating almost a cult-like status in Dubai. Their monthly challenges are so popular and the trainers combine really tough work outs with an easy to follow and understand diet, supplemented by daily emails encouraging you to stick with it as well as motivational messages on the Facebook group and YouTube videos. The results from so many members speak for themselves - check out the website and get inspired. I'm starting the May challenge next week so here's hoping I see some awesome changes.
