I have not been to Toro Toro in awhile so I came with some friends last night for dinner and the food is much better then I remembered. Before I get to that I would like to talk about the security with this place. I mean when you walk into Toro Toro you go through 2 security stops before you can get to the bar or your table. There is a large gentleman at the door that does a full back ground check before he lets you in, I hate when restaurants do that in Dubai.....you are not a club but a restaurant. You don't need a 150KG linebacker guarding the entrance to the restaurants and you don't need 1km or red rope either...I hate to bring this to your attention but there is no one standing in line to get into your restaurant so just let me in without giving me a full body cavity check already. It just looks pathetic with all that red rope and a guard when no one is trying to get in.

Ok so I get through security zone 1 and move to the sweet ladies at the counter at security zone 2 which is nice because there is like 10 of them which they are all attractive so I don't mind this check point. The lady finally confirms my booking and she shows me to my table. I really do like the ambiance of this place and as a little tip com early and have a drink at the bar...it's pretty cool.

The service was good and the staff are friendly. Watch out for the sommelier because he will pick something really expensive so don't just say, " pick something nice out for us"....probably our mistake. We ordered the chicken wings and the short ribs flat bread which both were excellent as our starter. For our mains we tried to order the Argentinian beef which they were out of supposedly do to big orders the night before. I mean come on Toro Toro you are and Argentinean steak restaurant...where is my Argentinean beef! Instead of that we ordered the Australian wagyu sirloin and it was delicious. Cooked perfectly well and simply awesome.

I know this review may come off negative but it was a great meal, ambiance was wonderful and we had a good time.

Great service and great food. The Salmon Ceviche, Zucchini Flower Empanadas and the Tres Leches cake are must-try!

Went to Toro Toro in the Grosvenor House Hotel last night. If you haven't been before, it's worth checking out. Toro Toro is a two level massive steak house. They have HUGE tables available that are great for big groups. They have different sections such as a bar area, drinks lounge and various dining rooms both on the ground floor and 1st floor. I suggest ordering their mixed plate of lamb, beef, chicken. If you like seafood, the ceviche and squid is also good. I loved the food and the service was great. If you're in a group of 4 -6 I recommend asking for a round table with the spinning table centre.

When Toro Toro first opened up it seemed like the Grosvenor Hotel area of the marina was finally receiving a well needed face lift. However, the excitement was short lived due in short to their inability to cook good food. I have been here a few times and every time I have been bitterly disappointed with sub standard food, accompanied by extremely incompetent waiters (the type that feel they should order for you ... and who challenge your decisions again and again!!). This place so badly wants to be a zuma but unfortunately will never be so.

The only good things about this place is the decoration and music. Service is poor and food quality is really average. They have the potential to be better.

I usually go to Torotoro bar on weekends for drinks before going to club, but last week i had a brunch there with some friends and it was amazing, the food selection was good from all types of cuisines to choose from, the staff were professional and nice towards us, the whole brunch package with alchohol was around 450 AED this is not bad for a 5stars dinning in dubai, we really enjoy the view of marina while dinning i am happy to find out that this place offers brunch package

Came here on Thursday with some friends. Snagged someone else's reserved table (they never came) and was surprised the staff was AMAZING...honestly the best bar service I've ever seen in Dubai....before you can even finish your drink they were there to offer a refill and very good with specific orders (mojito, no sugar). Perhaps they thought we were some VIPs but either way I was very happy with my 4 hours of chit chat and chilling in a relaxed setting. The decor and layout aren't completely unique...very similar shape and color palette to Embassy or even Bar 44 which are both neighbors but this is definitely a classy crowd. Lots to look at and not overly loud you can enjoy your time to the max. Two thumbs up.

Came for mid-week drinks on Tuesday and it was much busier than I expected considering there wasn’t a ladies night offer on that I’m aware of.About halfway through we decided we wanted some sharing plates and were able to sit at one of the long shared table things without a reservation so that was nice. The food was delicious but overpriced for the portion size.I was also there on Friday a couple weeks ago and it was rammed to the point where you had to fight your way through the “hallway” along the bar but it was not a great crowd in my opinion.I will definitely be back mid-week, though would probably skip it on the weekend.

Definitely one of the top 10 restaurants in Dubai! The Tapas are excellent and the Wagyu steak was top notch too. Service was very professional, the only real issue they have is that they open at 8pm and they won't let anyone in before.

They must have spent a pretty penny on the decor because it feels rich and I like being able to order tapas style so everyone can nibble and share as they wish in big groups. The menu choices are also refreshing since they take their lead from Latin American fusion and is a nice change from Japanese all the time (which I still love but just not every evening). It's not normally busy during the week days so I find it a great place to catch up with a friend or friends and still hear them while sipping on a good selection of wines and cocktails.

went there last night with friends for late dinner and some drinks... as it was 11.30 pm as we r always late for everything...(usually the last ppl to order food b4 kitchen closes) we were running there... so so so surprised when the door man said that the kitchen closes at 1.30 am. WOOOWWW isnt it wicked for ppl who starts their evengs late!!! i was sooo happy knowing that i can check the menu slowly at that time. :) the place is huge!! u can easily play hide and seek there r get lost. interior is very nice-5 stars. music amazing!!! dining area is preety descent a bit boring but lounge is cool. couches very big, soft and u can have ur dinner in lounge area and its very comfortable. service nice, polite, knows their menu very well, so if u dont really know what to order u can go with a staff advice! drinks descent size and good in taste. food, food, food..... some plates great (wagyu stake was just perfect!!!!!! bbq octopus and yellow tail sashimi yumm, bbq prawns yumm overal no complains and i like to complain sometimes. smoking area is a smoking area its so big that u dont even smell cigarettes so its ok for both smokers and non smokers. a bit quite but still in a good company great place to go. for descent dinner for 4ppl 1300 dhms-descent price compare to some similar places!! b back there for sure.

Great food and an array of tequila based cocktails you must try! The weekends means the bar is rammed and so i suggest reservation.

I used to love this place but had a terrible experience here on the weekend. Not really to do with the service, that is always great here. More to do with the crowd/ambience. Used to be filled with marina residents, an even ration between men and women. Friday night was a meat market - I was with another girl and a guy, and a horrible excuse of a man whispered to my male friend "Which one of your girls can I have?" !!!!!! My friend almost showed him his fists when security stepped in and had words with the guy but did not throw him out. And the preying eyes of the rest of the men in the bar were no better. So... this is another bar which has gone downhill after successfully launching. Needless to say we were out of there in a flash and I doubt I will be back anytime soon. Very disappointing.

So i call up on a Sunday to reserve a table for Monday or Tuesday and they give me this huge story on how booked they are and the only table they have is in the smoking section for Tuesday at 830pm. so when i get there it was pretty empty and never really got busy,it was a Tuesday though. other than that the food was good and so was the service. definitely try their caipirinha drinks and for main course do their mixed grill...smoked sword fish dip was good to. Also nice bar scene up stairs.

Was here last night and was surprised the bar was empty until around 10:45. The staff were super friendly and the bartenders were from Chile and Brazil. I was expecting something completely different - the decor is very cold and dark and the venue itself is huge. Drink prices aren't too bad. 37 AED for house wine. Music was a mix of funky house/ Latin house. The hostess said that their busiest nights are Weds & Fri. I'll definitely go back and try the restaurant next time.

It was almost close to impossible to have a reservation at this place but finally we booked it. The restaurant was HUGE and looks like a nightclub with the bouncers that meet you at the entrance. Interior and ambiance is nice. Very pretty ladies will show you to your table. As per food, servings on little plates (like tapas) enough for you and your date. there is a smoking area and the wine cellar is amazing. The taste is satisfying but as per the serving goes, you may want to have some more.
