Al Qasba has been my family playground since we shifted just a few steps away from it. Everyday I get to see the famous ferris wheel known as Etisalat – Eye of the Emirates from my window. At any day of the week, my family and I love to have a lazy walk around Al Qasba, have a cup of coffee and milkshake at Caribou while watching the spectacular display of musical water fountain leaping and dancing to a symphony of sound. At weekends, we love to dine in at Grand Abu Shakra, Shababeek, Stefano's, Nando's and Sumo Sushi and Bento. These are the restaurants we tried so far. My son loves the soft play area and the children park. There is also an adventurous amusement park for older kids & adults. You can also have an exciting tour around the lagoon to what they call Abra, a traditional wooden boat ride, for only AED 10 for adults and AED 5 for children. My husband and I tried it once and it's so amazing and soothing. It is so relaxing as you feel the breeze of the wind while watching the panoramic views of walkways, bridges, cultural attractions and beautiful skyline of Sharjah and Dubai. There are several numbers of restaurants, retails shops, cafes and kiosks inside. The 2 aesthetic buildings of Al Qasba houses some offices, theater spaces and galleries for contemporary Arabian arts. There's a lot of fun-filled and exciting activities for you to keep occupied all day long. It is very family oriented, great place for photography lovers and the best tourist spot in Sharjah!
