Al Qasba has been my family playground since we shifted just a few steps away from it. Everyday I get to see the famous ferris wheel known as Etisalat – Eye of the Emirates from my window. At any day of the week, my family and I love to have a lazy walk around Al Qasba, have a cup of coffee and milkshake at Caribou while watching the spectacular display of musical water fountain leaping and dancing to a symphony of sound. At weekends, we love to dine in at Grand Abu Shakra, Shababeek, Stefano's, Nando's and Sumo Sushi and Bento. These are the restaurants we tried so far. My son loves the soft play area and the children park. There is also an adventurous amusement park for older kids & adults. You can also have an exciting tour around the lagoon to what they call Abra, a traditional wooden boat ride, for only AED 10 for adults and AED 5 for children. My husband and I tried it once and it's so amazing and soothing. It is so relaxing as you feel the breeze of the wind while watching the panoramic views of walkways, bridges, cultural attractions and beautiful skyline of Sharjah and Dubai. There are several numbers of restaurants, retails shops, cafes and kiosks inside. The 2 aesthetic buildings of Al Qasba houses some offices, theater spaces and galleries for contemporary Arabian arts. There's a lot of fun-filled and exciting activities for you to keep occupied all day long. It is very family oriented, great place for photography lovers and the best tourist spot in Sharjah!

Wonderful place to walk around and take a ride on the ferris wheel. You can see soo far out from the top. The boat ride was very relaxing and well worth the money..well for 5 people it was very little $. The place has tons of rides for lil ones...and there are some delicious shops for some goodies...all around it is definitley a spot you would like to check out :) Luckily, I now live close to it...so I can come everyday if I wanted too... :)

I used to like Al Qasba previously, the canal as everyone mentioned is pretty, great sport for photographers. You can also take a little boat ride for around 25-30 AED per person as far as I remember, starting from the canal going all the way around Khaled lagoon waters. Which is fun if you're with someone special and want to enjoy that moment. The restaurants and cafes are not bad either. I used to hang out at starbucks with friends or have some nandos. However in the recent years, unfortunately, the crowd has gotten worse. If you go in a weekend its packed with vulgar, ill mannered school kids and teens who don't mind their own business and pass comments around at people. So ever since that has been the case, I stopped going there, nor would I recommend it as a hangout spot for any friends or family.

The only attraction of Qanat al Qasba is the man made canal. Other than which I find it as the dead place but not enthusiastic to revisit again. The big slowest swing doesnt attract rather anyone now. The shops are all flooded with dead stock only. The restaurants can be a point of visit sometimes but other than that tourist are fading from Qanat Al Qasba

Last saturday we went to qanat Al Qasba. It's like the ‘venice of uae’ because of the man-made canal that runs through it.They had the ‘festival of lights’that runs every 15 minutes. Very entertaining; something to be enjoyed on a lazy weekend.

This place has the light show every night. Like the Disneyland of Sharah.
