It's getting humid now and as august approaches a lot of people who prone to asthma attacks, like me, need pulmonologists or doctor of internal medicine.(asthma treatment experts). Rosary clinic has good treatment available for asthma patients, especially in the middle of the night if the patient is wheezing and needs immediate medical attention. I used to get very bad attacks of asthma in Dubai when I moved here due to the humidity factor, and the doctors there, after a years treatment almost, helped me to acclimatize myself to the local weather conditions. Asthma is also stress induced for some, so my advice is that if you are in the vicinity of the Barsha area, just head over to springs if anyone around you requires immediate help to control an asthma attack.

I spotted this amazing toy there that is perfect to give as a present. My kids, especially the baby, loved it and frankly, I ended up playing with it more than them. Its called a GIGGLE BUDDY. You have a choice of five kinds of buddies. Once you switch it on, a light sensor on the belly activates it once it detects motion around it. We chose the girraffe as he was way too funny! 99 Dhs price is not bad for a toy that laughs and moves so much you could almost believe its real! Cracks me up every time I put it on.

Went back there with guests. It was around lunch time on a weekday, a few days before Ramadaan and the place was packed with ladies! Only spotted two guys with their ladies and then saw two men walk in, get a bit overwhelmed by the female domination in there, and quietly opt to sit outside in the gallery seats. We triedthe Halloumi Cheese sandwich and Chicken sandwich and both were made of fresh ingredients and all in all presented decently. Their place mats on the tables are so vintage and cool! They have redone their menus now and the new menu cards are pretty well printed too. I go their just for the ambience but my only complaint is that this branch is way too cramped inside to be sat in and appreciated properly. Also, I think they should go for a theme cafe now, a bigger place with more seating arrangement and the waiters and waitresses should dress up in vintage clothes too! That would really be something!

I was in the Marina Mall a couple of days before Ramadan and decided to check out the Assia in Wok branch in their food court. When my Thai red curry in prawns was ready, I liked the way it looked and took a closeup to add to the review. Unfortunately, it was not a good idea to order it. The veggies were not cooked at all, the prawns were probably boiled seperately in plain water with no spices whatsoever, and all I could really taste was coconut milk, again, probably reconstructed from coconut powder milk as it was thin and runny. There was a slight taste of thai red curry paste(which is actually the base of the curry), but it was so slight that I may have been mistaken. 58 dhs for the curry and rice and with a lipton ice tea thrown in, the only saving grace in the meal, the 66 dhs worth meal was generally a disaster. I am NOT ordering thai curry from this place again.

Went to Oasis Centre today and walked into Daiso just for fun. Found a lot of chocolate molds for 7 dhs each!!! Came home with some Galaxy smooth milk chocolate and melted it and put in the molds. Fantastic results!!! Anyone looking to make some customised chocolate for a loved one (I learned to mould chocolate only for my kids), please visit Daiso and buy these chocolate moulds. They work so well!!! Also, in my experience, Galaxy chocolate works really well with chocolate moulds. Easy to melt and work with. Try designing some chocolate at home. Its a perfect gift to give someone you love. :)

I have passed by this place a million times but never went in. The other day, my husband and I passed by it and decided to check it out. Its so cool!!! You go in and choose your own fresh seafood (we chose jumbo prawns and Hammour fish, with a plate of fresh veggies), then you specify how you want it cooked(we had the prawns cooked in thai sauce and the fish grilled in lemon and herbs), and then you wait at your table in a pretty decent eating area, and enjoy your meal in relative comfort as the place is well ventilated so the smell of raw fish doesnt bother you. the baby wanted to eat the meal too so we asked them for some fresh raw carrot pieces, upon which the manager sent a complimentary plate of sliced carrots for her. That was pretty nice of them and baby smiled through th meal chewing on her carrots. Total bill 305 for one medium size fish and four jumbo prawns. The thai curry was really good. The veggie plate was a bit extra as it was food enough for three people but all in all, we really enjoyed it. Next time we order less. Try this place at my recommendation. From the outside its not even noticable but inside, you get a pleasant surprise.

Took kids there for a quick snack. I tried their salad called FUSION which was pretty good. Kids tried their cheese roll and Burger. Everything served with fresh Salad. Three servings, three soft drinks, 141 dhs. Not bad! Nice place to sit. The whole history of the business was being presented on a tv on the wall facing us so i got to know a bit about how they began. As dessert, bought two bars of hazelnut praline chocolate from the counter, dhs 15 each.

I got message from debanhams about big sale start today. Made it to the mall pretty early and decided to have a waffle. Got my waffle and added cardomom tea brewed in nescafe machine of course, and then embarrassed myself by dropping the tea all over the food court table. I am clumsy, there, I admit it. After that I quietly motioned the housekeeping guy to come clean my mess, removed the three fourth part of waffle still untainted by the scented tea, and after tipping the guy off, heaved a sigh of relief. Happily, the mall was not that busy at the time. Then i looked across at Shake Shack and saw this huge guy, middle aged, indulging in a burger and fries, eleven in the morning! I wanted to say Sir, please stop. You don't have room to fit that in anymore! Then these cheeky kids on the next table, holidays just began, started discussing the 'fat' guy in shake shack. My dirty look made no difference. So that was my embarrassing morning. Never made it to debenhams. Took baby, collected my left over dignity and quietly headed home. Man!

I want to ask someone this: why do the cinema food counter have such bad and such slow service? Nearly missed my movie as the lady on counter couldn't understand how to prepare one drink and one nacho pack for the person in front of me. There were just two of us there but even if there were twenty behind me, she would have taken her time. Grand cinemas has two food areas now. One outside the cinema and one inside. The service is so slow it's amazing. I think I will mail them a piece of my mind. You think they do it just to put us in a bad mood? Maybe they do it to discourage sales....

Boys....you know that smoking will eventually get you in trouble. My husband bought an e cigarette from here. Cost a bit, and I never saw it again. My hubby, chain smoker. My one headache in life is smoking as I am unable to breathe around smokers. My husband doesn't agree with me but I still believe that smoking is primarily a nervous habit. I have noticed, no offense, perfectly respectable and fit looking young men suddenly lose their cool, reach for a cigarette and hold on to it for dear life, and if that's not enough, again try to draw some strength from some strong, probably black, coffee. As if a gulp here and a puff there will restore your self confidence! Try an e cigarette. Buy one lasts for ever I think. I think it also glows in the dark. Some green light in it.....hmmmm..... Its that Or join yoga or something.... Smoking is not good for health....so say all cigarette packets. :D
