incredible!!...best staff ever

a home away from home!!

Tucked away in the JAL Tower on Shaikh Zayed Road is this gem of an Eastern restaurant called very aptly the Indothai. I have yet to see such a wide offering of Indian, Indonesian, Malayan,Chinese and Far Eastern cuisine at one location. Each dish is expertly prepared and is a delight to eat.

For those of you who are fed up of junk food and fizzy drinks aplenty, I strongly suggest moving to Indian or Far Eastern food. For one thing it is more nutritious and has great taste, other thing is that there is a lot of history and variety here, and these items are fast becoming part of international cuisine. Indothai is a safe bet and I thoroughly enjoyed eating here.

Zuma is definitely a winner in the culinary stage, even in the high flying city of Dubai. Zuma is a tribute to the hard working Japanese people, so devastated by the earthquake, but nevertheless churning out great seafood like bass, cod and sushi here at the restaurant. Eat in and take away both are available.

This Italian Bar offers amazing concoctions  of hot and cold beverages. The bar tender is very deft and includes his own touch to popular cocktails. You can even have these with pizza, risottos and pastas so that the pleasure is doubled. A new experience for me.

Don't know if these guys regard 8 as a lucky number but hey, this place works for me. I loved the look of the bar as well as the opulent dance floor. The food here was fusion menu which was not really to my liking, I prefer continental. But the rest of the evening was outstanding and definitely memorable.

Seems that this brand had its claim to fame from Chicago, and has come all the way form there to Dubai to tempt our tastebuds. I don't know about you, but I found it rather average. Wonder what the fuss is all about. Its time we appreciated our home cookiing more I should think, rather than be lured by names.  

If you are looking for a fine dining experience by the seaside, Pisces is the place to choose. Named after two fish swimming in opposite directions, this place definitely helps combine the ying and yang of life to make a pleasurable experience for a couple. The seafood is as fresh and tasty as can be.Exquisite!

Although the name of this place sounded weird to me, as it would more likely suggest a place of trade rather than a restaurant, I did go along with a couple of friends on their insistence. True it was nothing like I expected. The bar is good and they have a good choice of both Arabian and contintental food.
