Food is too good. Do try out Cherry Kebab Kebab with Egg Plants Sujook / Beef Hot Dog in Hot Plate with Spicy Tomato. Location is bit odd as you have to walk a lot from the lobby to figure out where is the restaurant and with no assistance. Non Arab staff is bit rude if you alter your order. Price is a bit much Few dishes were Armenian and it was delicious.

9th August 2012:- I happened to visit Al Dhiyafa Restaurant at Habtoor Grand for Iftaar / Dinner The buffet rate for dinner was 175 AED and for Iftaar was 149 AED The rates are quiet high as compare to other restaurants, we thought we will have variety of dishes and there were but more in salads and chutneys (sauces) and very less in food. It was more of LAMB Restaurant ....most of the things were made of lamb. i.e. Lamb and Barley Soup, Lamb Rice, Lamb Kebab, Another Rice with Mince Lamb, Lamb Roast. Second was chicken i.e. Chicken Kebbah, Chicken in Lemon Curry and all The options were awful. The restaurant sound more Arab than international. Only one fish dish that too grilled with sauce. The only part which is good is staff, they are helpful and on my request they got me Grilled Fish without Sauce and i insisted that i eat vegetables and sea food so after a big push they got me 6 small grilled shrimps which is ok. I stayed from 8-9 Aug 2012 with a friend and we took the business deal and paid more to get Free Internet, Breakfast and One Free Laundry. 1. When i was checking in the Gentlemen Engel asked me how would i settle my bill i said Credit Card. He took it and authorize it for 350 AED while he was suppose to charge only 248 AED so i asked why its taking long so he said he is Authorizing so i confronted, i said when i am paying you full why you need authorization and what for. He said "Sir if you use anything in room so i said there is nothing there or in my life experience with IBIS i never had anything in room, no fridge, no mini bar so i said what for, he was like may be internet so i said its all paid i dont see any reason for you to authorize and if you need deposit please take it but dont charge on my credit card" He charged me but guess what! 5 mins after i got a message from my BANK saying you have been charged on CC 350 AED which i showed to him and he was like its ok, its always like this and do not worry. I asked him to gave me authorization slips so he only gave me receipt and customer copy but not actual. "Now i dont know will i be charged 350 AED or actual amount 2. I asked him for our free internet but speed wasnt that good 3. There were confusion in restaurant timing which had to clear with Restaurant itself 4. Suhoor menu not good at all, 6 hot dishes only including Fried Egg, Plain Noodles, Turkey Bacon, Fried Potato, Baked Beans and Foul, i was shocked

First of all thanks to the hotel Management specially Mr. Jhinuk in F&B of Mercure for recommending me The Kebab Connection in my last visit in June. I couldnt try the outlet during my stay but when i tried the restaurant for the the first time on 21st July with a friend, we got very pleased and satisfied. Food variety is too good, we tried the set menu as its only called set menu but it has everything i.e. 3 type of soups (lamb, spinach and tomato) plus 6 type of Kebab i.e. (Grilled Prawns, Grilled Chicken, Lamb Kebab and all) and various type of salad, Biryani, Curry, Bread and all Above all you have Veg and Non Veg option. The gentleman on duty i believe he is the restaurant Manager he personally looked after us, the best part is he ensure that we got the taste, we have asked him to make changes several times with food and he and his team done that so hats off, that is what you miss in other restaurants. There is no point of visiting restaurant and paying big bucks if you dont get the taste you want which is not the case with Kebab Connection. The restaurants staff ensured that we leave with smiling face, they ensured we got the taste we want. Sweets, i love the Kulfi but they have various options. A must visit restaurant in Ramadan and after. Thanks to F&B Manager on duty Mr. Saahil., he was literally visiting us in every 2 or 3 minutes to ensure that we are ok with the service and food.

I am a Film Maker and Entertainer from Abu Dhabi and i often visit Dubai for shoots and meetings. In May when i visited the hotel for 2 nights stay, there were few things against my expectations which i immediately escalated to concern department and they guaranteed me a wonderful experience next time. I stayed there on 28th June for 1 night and trust me it was beyond my imagination. * Staff was more courteous than before and more friendly and welcoming * Thanks to Ms. Reena - Manager at the hotel to understood my needs and responded to it timely, i am sure she has went beyond her limits to make my visit and stay extra ordinary and hats off to what she has done, one should have staff like her who knows how to change unpleasant to pleasant. Hotel industry needs such staff. Thanks Ms. Reena for what you have done. * Location is close to ideal as Taxi are available and restaurants and beach are close by. Even business area and market are not too far and easily accessible by taxi. * Business Centre have internet facility and speed is decent * Housekeeping is bit slow to respond but one can bear it (depends) * If you have any issue or concern management will listen and respond, so do raise your concerns. Ms. Reena you have made me believe that if things went wrong it can be corrected. Will stay at Mercure very soon. Caiyad
