Paneer, lamb chops, butter chicken, enjoying with friends, sitting outside, taking in the buzz of Satwa in the evening; Ravi's is the place to be. Try the methi it was really good and bursting with an eclectic combination of flavours!

    Nobu

I went to Taste of Dubai last night and could not wait to try the delectable treats on offer from my favourite restaurants in Dubai, especially Nobu. As soon as I spotted their stand there was a big line up to try their samples on offer, one of them being their famous black cod! Oh my gosh, the small portion they offered me just melted in my mouth and was a teaser for my taste buds! I cannot wait to go back to Nobu dinner!! Thank you Taste of Dubai!

    Belgian Beer Cafe

This place was jam packed one Thursday, probably because the Laughter Factory was also on in the hotel that night, so it seemed everybody was filling their bellies with muscles including myself! I ordered the blue cheese muscles and they were absolutely scrumptious! Thank goodness I was sharing them as the portion was absolutely huge! I will book a table next time I go here on a Thursday as a lot of the after work people were there too. The tables on the roof top are highly recommended if you want to soak in the evening ambience and also avoid the cigarette smoke.

    The Music Room

This is a great place to see new talent being show cased in Dubai, especially on jam night. A bunch of my friends came to see one of the blues band playing, they were absolutely amazing and got the whole house rocking!

    Segreto

Segreto is a great place to sit and relax with friends, I highly recommend sitting out side now that the weather in Dubai is perfect for it. On a Friday they also offer 50% discount off beverages between 6pm - 8pm. Some of the after brunch people head there too between that time, so be prepared to be entertained by the shenanigans!

Sun and Sand Sports Factory Outlet

Came here today & was wow'ed by the amount of sports wear they have at discounts prices. I bought a tonne of Abercrombie & Hollister bikinis as I do a lot of diving & need a few on hand, & got them at an absolute steal. I also got some Abercrombie & Hollister t-shirts, nike yoga pants & an 80 dhs nike baseball cap for 39dhs, bargain! However, I have just come home & they have left a security tag on one of the bikini tops, so will have to go back to get them to remove it. Note to self; check all clothing before exiting the store.

    Club Stretch Marina View Towers

The 5pm classes have been getting quite full & busy lately, most probably because of Ramadan hours, so get in early if you would like a good spot for your mat in the room. For the regulars, the mirrors have also been fixed, so they now reach the floor which is great, they also have 10% off the unlimited monthly pass.

    Waterfront

I came here last night with a friend after our post bikram workout, not wanting to indulge in an iftar, we decided to opt for something light & healthy. The Waterfront restaurant is in the Jumeirah Beach Hotel & nestled on the waterfront with an amazing view of the Burj Al Arab. I ordered the salmon & it was so succulent & tasty! They have an amazing choice of juices & smoothies if you're wanting a post work-out boost. Will def come here again to soak in the ambience & enjoy some yummy & healthy post-bikram goodies!

    Al Boom Diving

I spent the weekend in Fujairah as I wanted to complete my Wreck Qualification & decided to do it through Al Boom exploring two sunken ship wrecks Inchscape 1 & Inchscape 2. Inchscape 1 was originally a supply ship used to transport people & cargo & was sunk intentionally to provide a dive site. Inchscape 2 has a swim through & there is a lot to see in the wreck. In order to explore both wrecks you will need your Advanced Diver as Inchscape 1 is at over 30 m & Inchscape 2 over 22m. And you can only enter the wreck at Inchscape 2 if you have a Wreck Diver Qualification. A speed boat takes you to both dive sites, however, bring a snack to eat for the boat as one can get quite peckish between dives. There is a lot of marine life to be seen, especially when there is good visibility. The staff were really professional & safety was first & foremost, so you definitely felt that you were in good hands.
