I was able to go for the Atlantis Iftar last week and was truly amazed by the whole set-up. The tent where iftar was served was HUGE, and excellently decorated with beautiful lanterns. The food was also plenty with majority of them arabic dishes. I definitely enjoyed them. The desserts were of course, the best part of the Iftar as they served both arabic and international dishes as well as a chocolate fountain ! There were also an impressive selection of dates from many different countries. Overall, I think I enjoyed the experience more than the actual Iftar. However, it is one of those places that you must try if you're visiting Dubai during Ramadan.

I had recently brought Cinnabon's cupcakes for a birthday and was very pleased with them. They were moist even after 4 days. However, in my opinion they are a little pricey for a place that doesn't specialize in cupcakes. As for their Cinnabon rolls, they're always yummy as a snack. The cherry topped is always my favourite but they usually have it for a limited time.

One of my favourite places to buy customised cakes from. They do everything and anything you want, and it comes out looking amazing ! Their chocolates also looked very nice so my husband decided to buy a valentines day chocolate hamper. The chocolates were nice, but I was expecting them to be a little better. But, I will still be buying their cakes, which are delicious !

The infamous Hard Rock Cafe definitely lived up to my expectations. The location is huge- merchandise store on the ground floor and the whole top floor for the restaurant and lounge. The place is of course decorated with pictures of music legends and various other things. They also have a large stage with probably 6-8 BIG speakers (definitely not suitable for a quiet lunch/dinner with the family). The menu is quite varied although they don't serve anything different-you get the usuals such as burgers, quesadillas, buffalo wings etc. In my opinion, the BBQ burger was definitely the best. Also, expect the portions to be quite large. Overall, I might go back, especially for a birthday as I hear they do something extra special (and embarassing!) for the birthday celebrant.

Splash is an old locally-started fashion store. They offer many different types of clothes from casual t-shirts to formal dresses. What I also love about them is that they have sizes for every type of person, and they're the most affordable clothes store.

Out of all the crepes cafes at food courts in malls, La CreParis is definitely the best. The nutella and strawberry crepe is delicious and far from the rubbery-kind. Definitely a yummy dessert to try.

One of the best cupcake bakeshops in Dubai. There cupcakes are soft, and the icing made perfect. They also offer a variety of creative desserts such as cake pops, red velvet cheesecakes and truffles. Although, in my opinion they are a little pricey.

After hearing so much about the restaurant that serves the world's most expensive cupcakes, I had to try them out. I opted for the raspberry and chocolate cupcake as well as the vanilla. Although they looked amazing from the outside and the box they came in was adorable, the cupcakes were very, very dry. I don't know if it was because they kept them refrigerated because of the cream, it was very disappointing. However, I do give them top marks for store design, menu design and packaging. We also tried the Strawberry lemonade and that was very nice. I also noticed they had afternoon tea for the bargain price of 50 dhs ! That should be worth a try. Overall, I don't think I'll be coming for cupcakes here. The concept is very good, but the cupcakes need a little improving.

The location of the Starbucks at Dubai Mall is just lovely, it overlooks the Burj Khalifa and the Dubai Fountain and is a very peaceful and relaxing location. The best thing at Starbucks is their Chocolate Frappuccino. Although the service isnt that great - they made a mistake with my order, it is still worth it.

The restaurant is very innovative and very popular-so popular, that they sell restaurant merchandise such as t-shirts and bibs. The food is also good as is served as soon as it is ready. I would definitely suggest the chicken gyoza deep fried which is delicious ! We also tried the negima yakitori which is grilled chicken skewers, and the teriyaki chicken raisu. Both dishes were also very nice. However, I wasn't very pleased with the service as the staff had to handle many tables. Overall, I'll definitely come back for some more gyoza and to try the bento boxes. Its great for a quick lunch.
