  1. So I guess these guys are Just Falafels competitors. They have different sandwich/platter options and a choice of bread for the sandwiches. Apparently these are cooked in the finest extra virgin olive oil and not canola oil. But overall nothing to write home about. The falafels were OK didnt have much taste to them. The sandwich was similar to any other you would get in an arabic restaurant. Hummous was good, fries were so oily I couldnt eat them. I would give Just Falafel more points for originality with sandwich flavors. Cheap and super quick delivery though. Just ok.

  2. Agreed with Beth! Came here again last night - even better than I remembered it to be. I had made the reservation earlier in the day and had enquired about vegi sushi... when we arrived, they immediately told me that the chef would prepare my vegi sushi platter rightaway so they had noted my request which is just wow for Dubai standards. 175aed option gives you 1 alcoholic drink either a glass of wine or bottle of beer and water. I got the biggest platter of vegi sushi and they also made me stir fried vegetables with steamed rice as alot of the hot food was meat or fish. All the usual favourites like edamame, spring rolls are in the buffet. Dessert favourites were the passion fruit mousse and the tapioca. Best value Japanese buffet in Dubai. 10 Stars.

  3. Best CAKES (not cupcakes) in town. Took a visitor there for dessert the other day and we tried the cake of the month which is currently Strawberry whoopie cake which is made up of chocolate whoopie cakes and strawberry icing. Unbelieveable slice of deliciousness and it was a huge slice too. You can take away or eat in - they have a few tables by a cute little fountain in the middle of the Bloomingdales store. The photo speaks for itself ;-)

  4. Ohhh I just love this place. I went to the annual anniversary ball the other week and it was amazing. Free flowing champagne and an incredible array of food stations over 4 floors. This really is a completely different scene to anything else Ive ever been to in Dubai. Girls dancing in huge martini glasses were a sight for sore eyes that's for sure. You have to be with a member to get in so if you get the chance, go! These guys know how to throw a party and because its members only the party goes on till the last guest leaves! Great venue.

  5. These guys are AWESOME! Ordered a birthday cake from them over the phone yesterday (The kitsch special of corse - chocolate cake with nutella buttercream yumyum) and they delivered it free of charge and on time at 8pm to the restaurant we were dining in which was in the DIFC. They got the spelling right on the cake too which seems a rarity here in Dubai! Basically these guys will not let you down - not with their cakes and not with their service. Their candle charges are a bit steep though at 2aed for 1 candle. But their cake is sooooo good that I musnt grumble :))) 180aed for their medium sized cake is pretty good value. They say it serves 10 but we were a group of 16 and we still had leftover.

  6. We ordered take out from here the other night - I never even knew there was another Gazebo outside of Bur Dubai but there is and they deliver to Marina! Gazebo is well known to be one of the best joints in town and I have to agree if its Indian food you are looking for. This time I made sure to ask them to cook all my food without Ghee and with less oil. They were happy to do so which DEFO went down easier on my stomach - No food baby like I would normally get had it been cooked the traditional way. I went for paneer tikka and dal. Delicious. Delivery took about an hour and each dish is approx 25aed. Great value for quality food. The plastic food containers all had food safety stickers on them explaining how to store leftovers and how to reheat which was a really nice touch and just made me feel like these guys go the extra mile to make sure their food is served/enjoyed as it should be. On the receipt their little caption reads "if you enjoy our food tell other people, if you don't tell us!" That just about sums up how much these guys are on point with food and service. 5 stars

  7. Came here for dinner last night for the first time - previously I have only been to The Royal China In London. One of the most authentically chinese meals Ive had in Dubai (on par with Zheng He's). We were a massive group of 16 people and they accomodated us really well. Most of us went for sent menus which were for two sharing. Vegi set menu was only 300aed (!50 each) which is pretty good value for 5 course meal at a high end restaurant. It was a great selection too lots of bean curd and mock duck and vegetarian prawns which ive not had anywhere else before. Service was great. They allowed us to bring a birthday cake from outside at no extra charge. The best thing about this place is their relaxed booking policy. Normally when you try and book a table for 10+ you need to give credit card guarantees - they were super chilled here didnt need exact numbers or credit card. I guess that's because they are still not super busy or at least they werent last night. Shame though as this really is one of the best Chinese restaurants in London and now Dubai. Will defo be back!

  8. Strolled in here the other day to buy some dates, and saw their cookie counter O M G.. The sales lady allowed me to sample almost every thing and i ended up buying a kg of assorted date infused cooki/pastry creations - some with chocolate some pistachio some coconut even cinnamon and all mixed with dates. Delicious combinations and they come in all kinds of shapes, sizes and patterns, Great gift for a housewarming or dinner party. Sold by weight so you can buy as much or as little as you want. Yumm

  9. Love this cafe! They have a fantastic menu with absolutely everything you could think of on it - great breakfasts/panini's. Smoothies are to die for as is their cake/pastry collection. What I like about this place the most is the library they have at the back. You can borrow books from them, you can bring old books of yours there and swap them for new books, they also accept book donations too if you want to get rid of a whole bunch. Open mic session on tuesdays is meant to be pretty good. Like the idea that local talent can showcase themselves in a place like this. So much more than just a cafe!

  10. Love this branch because you can sit outdoors - the other two in Dubai are indoors only and sitting out in the greens is always chilled. Yasai katsu curry everytime but also yasai cha han bento is pretty good value - u get the rice, edamame, 3 gyoza's and a soft drink for 42aed - not bad. They take entertainer vouchers here too which is bonus but cant redeem against bento box's. Service was good no complaints.
