I stayed here for a long weekend 2 weeks ago and it was really lovely. Quiet, quaint and very clean....the most unique thing was the old school feel to it. The hotel said it was built like 70 years ago but maintained very well. Everything was polished etc It felt like an old Manhattan hotel in NYC. Hamra isn't the best place to stay in as it's a bit noisy and polluted but you can walk almost anywhere from this location, to the sea, to the corniche, to AUB.....and it's only a $5 taxi to Gemmayzeh or anywhere else really. I loved the hotel, free wifi int he lobby, happy hour on drinks....nice staff... I'd stay here again.. Oh and VERY affordable. I would say one thing, the TV in the room completely doesn't make sense where it is placed....you cannot watch it unless you stand up on the side of the bed.... needs to be moved.
Other than that, loved it.
