Jebel Ali Recreation is like a hidden jewel - an English pub atmosphere, amazing food very reasonably priced drinks - a complete value for money. An amazing hangout for family and friends. However, if you are a member you could enjoy other benefits like a huge swimming pool / gym / sauna / steam room. There are also recreational activities like - tennis & squash. The membership fee is 3500dhs for a couple & 2000dhs single (calendar year 1st January to 31st December).

The best fish & chips ever! - make sure to collect your fish and chip order number card! best time to visit is winter seasons as summer can be very hot to sit outdoors. ask for a seating close to the waters for the best view - do not feed the birds as they can be real pests once u have fed them coming back for more.

amazing place for pub grub... a little over priced for burgers but a great place to unwind. alovely view of the yatchs if seated outdoors.

Amazing restaurant....very friendly staff...lovely music ...a little over priced but great food. However, people residing in Dubai and those that have an Emirates NBD card can use there Emirates NBD card to avail of a discount (please check Emirates NBD bank website for promotion validity) Visited June 2012

Paul's is a lovely French restaurant / cafe with a lovely ambiance & friendly staff. With a short menu it makes it easy to decided what’s for bfast / lunch or dinner. So, I settled for the tuna sandwich...the sandwich arrived looking delicious with a very generous serving of salad. The moment I dug into the sandwich I realized my teeth were not strong enough to take a bite...I needed a hammer and a chisel :D not wanting to make a scene I managed with the rest of the sandwich that tasted great. When it was time for the bill....I mentioned to the waitress that the bread was too hard to enjoy the sandwich...to which she informed me that I could have my choice of bread :S So the next time you visit Paul’s MOE make sure to choose your bread before you order your sandwich !!!

“biggest brunch ever!!!” We visited the Atlantis Kaleidoscope brunch & found it nothing but great value for money!!! I was really amazed at the huge variety of food and different cuisines...since it was my bday the staff even got me a bday cake absolutely free!!! Since alcohol or any beverage (juices or soft drinks) is not included in the 160dhs per person brunch package we ordered a cocktail that started at 55dhs each (very reasonable). Later we went to enjoy the aquarium which is right outside the restaurant. All in all it was a complete value for money and a day well spent. Tip – since the Altantis does not allow guest parking…you will have to give your car to be valet parked. So, make sure you drive all the way to the avenues for your car to be parked & to shorten your walk to the Kaleidoscope restaurant.

Just a 70 km drive from Dubai is a hidden jewel and a must experience place called Bab Al Shams Resort - Al Hadheera restaurant, from the food to the ambience it’s simply luxury that’s worth every penny, authentic Arabic food & ambience. since we visited during iftaar (breaking of fast during Ramadan) there was a huge Arabic buffet. The restaurant itself is packed with activities like camel rides / horse show / pony rides / heritage museum / tanoora dancer / horse show and this is all for free!!! if a restaurant alone can brighten your whole evening...i can only imagine what the resort can do! However, the paying activities include: Shisha priced at 75dhs Mehendi - 85dhs (starting depending on design) Sand art - 50dhs+ A small garment store TIP - Make sure to fill up on fule before you start your journey there, as there are no gas stations on the way.

I've been visiting Shakespeare and Co for the past 10 years (they just had one branch at Al Attar tower )...the Penne arabiata is to die for...have'nt tasted pasta this great in Italy itself! the decor too takes you back in time. The shabby chic furniture..lovely. A great place for a ladies lunch!
