    The Lime Tree Cafe

If you haven't tasted Lime Tree's carrot cake, you've been missing something really awesome in your life. The icing is like similar to Magnolia's icing. I actually love Lime Tree Cafe bec of it's minimalist attack on its interiors. I've tried the one in Internet City & Ibn Battuta but this is my favorite place. You can have breakfast outside or if your lucky and it's not full yet - try the terrace with view of the JB road... Ohh did I say I lurve the carrot cake??

    Rosso

So good reviews were written at this place so we tried out dinner here last night. The last time I was here was only for drinks. This time I ordered the seafood marinara rocket salad & the salmon. Fiance had the bruschettas in different flavours since we had second thoughts of having pizza. They offered us breads with cheese and tomato spread - and that just made me so full. But the highlight was seafood rocket salad - it was just great. Very flavourful. So when my salmon came my tummy has no room for it anymore. Still you can take it home. Service was very good and the ambiance was breezy and music was ok. I heard ladies night are from Sun to Wed after 9pm

    Zheng He's

I tried the sweet and sour chicken from their food booth at the Art Dubai in Madinat. I found it very bland. And so I asked if they have any salt & pepper and they don't have any. It was neither near chili nor sour but only blah.

    The Thai Kitchen

If you love friday brunches and have an appetite for thai cuisines. Thai Kitchen is a must. During brunch, food flavours and textures are served in small portions (like tapas) just enough for you to finish & ask if you want more. You’ll possibly get through 8-10 dishes in a two-person evening there and walk away with plenty change from Dhs 500 including great wine & cocktails. I love the mango sticky rice for dessert. Thai Kitchen is one those places that you can head to when you really crave a wicked Thai meal and not have to burn a hole in your wallet. if you want to see the entertaining chefs put on a show you have to sit inside or enjoy the peaceful creek view outside for extra romance.

    i2

Eikk. The Danger Zone came near my sanctuary. This is alarming. Last night we went to i2 (recently moved to Habtoor) and it was great. A walk away from the house. 80's music blasting. It's alittle bit bigger from the old Metropolitan's (ceiling's more chic & higher), and the washrooms !!! Yeah hotel sleek washrooms but you have to go down the elevator - ground floor to take it (just as worse like before). But, i do miss the ghetto like i2 before. Well, we love it now that it's near my place... service is fantasticly attentive. LOVE IT!

    Caribou Coffee - Murjan JBR

I always have my cravings for a tall glass of iced tea. I ventured from my usual Cinnamon Rooibos and changed to Mango black tea. But they sell out the cinnamon rooibos tin coffee cans that I took home and mixed for myself. Don't these glass water beads make you feel thirsty?

    Objects & Elements

If you are an art lover and basically appreciate pop culture art. This place is heaven for unique- affordable pieces of art home decors. I once was wowed by this painting at The Grand Grill of an african woman & saw the exact piece at this place. Usually Al Quoz warehouses & stores like these you'll expect to have packed of art works available for wholesale prices. The art works costs AED 3000/3500 for large pieces and as little as AED 600 for smaller canvases.

    Wafi Gourmet

Great food but I think it's over priced. The fresh juices are great, make sure you tell them not to put any sugar in it bec your bloodstream may scream insulin . You can't can't go wrong with the fillet hamoor with white rice here. Try the Arabic sweets and don't miss their ice cream , thank me later.

    Uptown Bar

When my friends messaged me "We're going to uptown for pre-drinks" I massage back a HELL NO with all my emotions. The only Uptown I know was in Mirdif and didn't have any idea of this place. It was at the very top of JBH. With a fantastic view of Jumeirah Beach Road where you can chill & chat with your friends waiting for the time to hit 12 or 1 am to move to another bar like 360 or Mahiki downstairs. I had my Chardonnay for AED 60/glass. The place was not jampacked and it's really nice during the night. They even give pashminas if you're feeling cold. Will definitely comeback.

    Garderobe Vintage Boutique

When my friend Nadia told me about this place, I head out the exact night to check it out. One character of a woman is her ability to hold 12 seconds of strong face before completely start bursting into excitement. This place is like the Willy Wonka/ Wonderland of a woman's world- eye pops. If you recorded my voice when i went inside the shop, all you'll hear are "OMG's and I love you's". It's the Mecca of Vintage meets 2nd hand designer items which were in good hands. They have from accessories to bags and lovely dresses and shoes - absolutely fangasmic! but I must say, you better look - and be patient till you find the perfect piece & great budget that you will take with you home.
